It is with immense joy, humility, and excitement that I introduce myself as the founding principal of Creekside Elementary School, proudly opening its doors for the 2026-2027 school year! I am beyond honored to become a Creekside Crawdad and launch this incredible new school community with all of you.

My commitment to education spans 18 amazing and rewarding years. I began my journey as a teacher, dedicating 13 wonderful years to the students and families of Marlow Elementary. For the past five years, I have had the privilege of serving the community of South Effingham Elementary as an Assistant Principal. This diverse experience has prepared me to lead Creekside with a vision for excellence, compassion, and innovation.

Education has always been a lifelong passion. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, a Master's degree in Brain-Based Learning, and a Specialist degree in Instructional Technology. These degrees have helped to solidify my commitment to creating an environment where every student's potential is recognized and nurtured through engaging learning experiences.

On a personal note, I am blessed with a wonderful family. My husband, Jeff, and I have been happily married for 27 years. We have two amazing children and are currently enjoying our first grandchild with another little one on the way! Education runs deep in our home—Jeff and our daughter, Brai, are both dedicated educators, and our son, Cooper, is a Civil Engineer.

My "why" for waking up each day and coming to school is simple and singular: the students. I want to see every child grow up to be the very best version of themselves. This goal drives me, and I know it is achieved by having an exceptional team. I absolutely love supporting our teachers and staff, ensuring they have everything they need so we can all work together to make this vision a reality for every Creekside student.

Launching Creekside Elementary is truly going to be a career highlight, and I cannot wait to start this adventure with you! We are building something special, and I look forward to the day we welcome our first group of students into our halls.
